Lighting of Ledoux

Ledoux Street, just south of historic Taos Plaza

Join us at Taos Plaza at 4:45 to lead the parade that begins at 5:00pm walking with Father Winter along Ledoux Street to The Harwood Museum of Art, where he will spend the rest of the evening hearing children’s holiday wishes.

The Casey and Nelle Mitchell Art Education Classroom will open after the Father Winter parade until 7pm.  We will have seasonal art making supplies out for your creative exploration including snowflake cutting and paper chain making.  Please join us!

5-7 p.m. on Saturday, December 2.

Ledoux Street will be closed to vehicles at Noon.

  • Stella’s – Will be serving hot and delicious soup.
  • Black Mesa Winery – We will be serving samples of warm mulled wine to adults and hot cider to kids and non-drinkers, and will have live music from 5-8 pm featuring the Celtic ensemble Anam Cara. We will also be open for normal business, selling wine by the glass or bottle.
  • Salon Marjorie – Will have a DJ, Julia Day. There will be a bon-fire, refreshments and the staff dressed as elves.
  • Harwood – The parade to escort Father Winter beginning on Taos Plaza at 5pm. Father Winter handing out presents for the kids. Children’s activities in our Education Center. Cookies and cider. Members get 20% off in the Museum Store. The Museum Store has just completed a really good upgrade. They are featuring an expanded selection of new and locally made gift items for holiday shopping.
