The Deming Arts Council Studio Tour will be occurring September 30, 2017 and October 1, 2017.  Maps and Guides with artists information will be available after September 1, 2017 at the Deming Visitors Center, 800 East Pine, Deming NM  88030 and the Deming Arts Center, 100 South Gold, Deming NM  88030.  If you want we can email one to you by contacting us at demingarts@hotmail.com after September 1.

Artists participating the the Studio Tour will be in the Deming city and rural areas.  Those participating are of many mediums including wood working, various painting styles, photography, quilting arts, clay and glass.  The Deming Arts Center can be reached at 575-546-3663.  You can check our website for updates as they occur, demingarts.org.

Rockhound State Park
The rugged slopes of the Little Florida Mountains are the setting for this park, which boasts trails, unique geology, wildflower displays, and a peaceful campground. It is named for the abundance of minerals in the area, and visitors can search for quartz crystals, geodes, jasper, perlite, and many other minerals. The stunning scenery of the Spring Canyon unit of the park provides a peaceful area for hiking or picnicking.

The Deming Luna Mimbres Museum houses exhibits relating to the everyday lives of the citizens of Deming and the Mimbres Valley. They include paintings, furniture, period rooms, antique machines and tools, toys, dolls, clothes, vehicles, farm equipment, war memorabilia, photographs, Indian artifacts, gems and geodes, and an important collection of Mimbres pottery. The Deming Luna Mimbres Museum was named for the City of Deming, Luna County, and the Mimbres Valley. It is housed in the old National Guard Armory, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is also a State Historic Site.
